I am very impressed with this witnessing style, but I am curious to know why the folks who were witnessed to weren't given a chance to make a commitment on the spot? Why were they sent home and told to think about it and pray before going to bed, then make a commitment. I am a bit confused.

I took Dr. G's Evangelism 101 class last year and was re-introduced to the Way of the Master technique. Through the encouragement of assignments to witness I began to apply this and sort of developed my "own version" of this. Since then I have had the GREAT privilege of leading over 30 people the Lord. (Many more have promised to think further about eternity.) I have had very few people (3?) refuse to talk to me. I have come to realize that some people have a pat comment that they rely on to put us off from witnessing to them (i.e. I think one should just think happy thoughts) but God has always gotten me past that and suddenly they are quiet and you see the Light come on in their eyes. I volunteer in a nursing home ministry and I find it very useful there. People without hope really want to know. But I have also used it on airplanes, doctor's offices-wherever God puts me. And I no longer wait for the opportunity-I make one. May God bless you and give you boldness.

I am a current student. I love the videos. They sure have been an inspiration to me. I appreciate what you are doing here. I sure did have to check my evangelistic efforts and was pretty ashamed.
